Tents & Canopies
(Be sure to read the section titled
"Important Tent Information")
Our frame tents are all "block-out white" and made of heavy 16 oz.
vinyl. The tents have a 2" aluminum framework which means there is no
center post. Pricing includes frame and tent top only,
site recommendations, set-up and tear-down.
Our pole tents are the more traditional looking tents with center post(s)
running down the middle. Pole tents are tents that feature a set of individual
poles arranged beneath the roof to support and define the shape of the tent. The
roof is tensioned over the poles and attached to ropes at designated spots
around the roofs edges. The ropes are anchored to the ground using stakes around
the perimeter of the tent. Our pole tents are all "block-out white" and made of heavy
14 - 16 oz.
vinyl. Pricing includes tent top,
site recommendations, set-up and tear-down.

Important
Tent Information
1) For events that require a tent during the week, we prefer to setup the day
before and teardown the day after the event if possible. For weekend events
tents are normally setup on Wednesdays or Thursdays and torn down the following
Monday. If this is not possible, we will have to arrange for a special setup and
teardown time and is subject to OUR time constraints. For those that want a tent
setup at a specific time, (i.e. for a surprise party) additional charges will
apply. Those charges might not be able to be specified until we have a clear
picture of what our other obligations are that day. Specific setup and teardown
times may not be possible.
2) To install a tent properly we need a flat, level
surface free from trees and tree branches and overhead wires or any other
overhead obstructions. We need the outside dimensions of the tent plus five feet
for proper staking, i.e. a 20' X 20' tent needs a space of 25' X 25'.
3) If
there is a septic system, water sprinkler system or any other underground
obstruction, it is up to the renter to make sure that the ground has been marked
for such obstructions prior to our arrival. We are not responsible for damage to
underground sprinkler systems, water sprinkler systems, wiring, cables, gas
pipes or any other underground obstruction. IF IN DOUBT, CALL IUPPS* AT
1-800-382-5544 AND HAVE YOUR
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES MARKED. * The customer must have the following information
when calling IUPPS: a) Aardvark's name and address; b) the address of the dig
site (where the tent is to be erected; c) the county and township that the dig
site is located in.
Aardvark's is not responsible for
any damage caused by our staking of our tents at the direction of the customer.
Any damage is solely the responsibility of the customer!
4) If you own a pet that roams the area where we
will be installing the tent, two days prior to our arrival please clear the area
of any animal feces and water the area down. Do not allow your pet in that area
until after we have installed and removed the tent. If there is animal feces
present on the ground, we will not set the tent up until the owner of the
property has cleared the area of such animal waste. This includes access ways to
the site.
5) Tent siding is available at no charge if we do not install them
but we highly recommend that sides not be installed unless absolutely necessary.
The reason for this is that ground smells bad and enclosing the ground only
traps the bad odor under the tent. We will be happy to bring sides out to you so
that you may install them if you wish but if we install the sides you will be
charged the normal tent side rental charges.
6) We will not abut a tent up
against a permanent structure (i.e. a house or garage). We must have 5'
clearance on all sides to properly stake the tent for your safety.
