Wedding Colors – As we move into the final planning stages for our Fall Bridal Show, I find myself overwhelmed with color choices! This year we’ve seen combinations of bright and bold colors, and it looks like that trend will continue for 2012 weddings as well. For a fun and funky look, maybe I’ll use purple and pair it with bright orange or even a vivid green. I also love the fresh, crisp look of white linens with a splash of vibrant color like fushia or turquoise. Stunning! Silver is still a favorite accent color and we’ve seen it used this year with navy, purple, and black. Many still prefer a more traditional look by pairing ivory with subtle, dusty hues (sage or olive, peach or salmon). Brides still seem to love deep, rich chocolate brown and we’ve seen it paired with just about everything! It makes a statement when combined with hot pink or periwinkle; it has an elegant and sophisticated look when paired with creamy colors like ivory or camel, especially when gold accents are used.
Once I finally determine which colors I’m going to use, I’ll be struggling with fabric choices! Bold, shiny satin? Beautiful, bright bengaline? Light, airy organza?
There are so many wonderful colors and fabrics from which to choose! Overwhelmed? Yes, but I wouldn’t trade this job for anything!
